Yes you are correct. This has not been a normal year for us. I remember 1980 very well. Thought the heat would never go away.
I live in Leon county. Things are really getting bad. Can't remember the last time we had any real rain. Sale barns are running over with cattle and stock being sold. I have seen some people bringing in water to fill the stock tanks. Some are pumping water out of the Trinty River and creeks to fill tanks. Even heard of some of the big ranches starting to let people go. Can't keep them with nothing to do.
I help send out the bills for the local feed store. The store sales have really gone down. What used to take three hours to process. Took an hour and half the other day. Things are getting bad.
