bendee, i got hit hard on one of my shops computers, the other computer we caught before it did any damage. i had a tech working on the one for two days, he got it up and running somewhat, but it locks up a lot and i have trouble accessing certain software on the system. it also will occassionally not be able to acesss the dvd drive. one of my employees was on ebay checking on something he had posted for sale.. a screen poped up that looked like a windows error screen that had a list of about 5 hard drive errors. he closed the screen, and it came back about 5 more times before he said any thing. not being computer savvy, what i understand is all the programs are still there, but it wiped out all the software to get to it. the other computer did the pop up when i first boooted it the next day, but i "yanked the cord" right away. malwarebytes found the trojan viruses in it too. the two systems are not on a network, but share the same router. i had to run malware bytes on the bad computer 3 times before it got all the trojan viruses out. it was just plain nasty. the tech said the virus came from somewhere in eastern europe. i may take the computer in and see if they can save the programs and data, wipe the hard drive and re-load everything. i'd love to find one of these virus guys in a dark alley, and show him the three S's !!!!!!
