I love the old IH trucks, pure and simple. My family was IH through and through. Besides the '52 L-110 parts/service truck at the garage, their flatbed was a '44 [yup...war surplus] K-5 1-1/2 ton with a 14' flat and "loading boards," with a huge old Tulsa winch.
When I was a kid, our "family car" was a '62 Travelall station wagon. Pap had a '51 L-110 panel, an ex-bakery delivery truck, that he had leased to the post office as a parcel delivery truck, that we later used as a "support" vehicle to carry our camping gear. Pap also owned a '61 C-100 pickup with the 266 V8 and three-on-the-tree, and when he died in '91 he still had his '67 1200 pickup.
And my first truck was a '46 K2-L [light GVW version]. So I guess I've had just a little experience dealing with them over the years.
