Might have found an "escape route" out of my 855-baler predicament.....just maybe.
Found an '89 (I think) model that the fella says works just great. Fairly recent chains and sprockets.
Anyone ever used one of these "Auto Tie" types? Purely mechanical not the electric type? Has only one set of hydraulics and they run the rear door.
I've always thought that this type of tie mechanism would be the cat's meow. Full bale buzzer sounds and ya just stop and let the baler automatically tie the bale…... My hydraulic tie is somewhat "cumbersome" because I have to tie manually with the hydraulic lever.
Also, the air gauge is sitting on zero; he says the air leaks off over winter. Noticed a couple of bent tubes, which to me, just screams low air pressure trouble.
Am I jumping right back in the same fire here? My 855 never leaked off in the 4 or 5 years that I've had it.
Gonna take an air tank over there, pump ‘er up and see if it holds?
