People call this the "banana belt" of Montana. The Indians wintered here rather than out on the plains. It gets cold but not horribly cold and if it gets cold, it usually last only a day or two. it"s a genuine 4 season climate. The onething I"ve noticed is that the seasonal changes seem to occur abruptly. It"ll be mild in late October and on Halloween it can drop to 0°F!
