I have seven tractors. The two newest are wide front MFW all the others are nfe. I prefer to have MFW where I need it for traction, but I really like the nfe tractors for nimbleness and turning ability. I have had four close calls to an upset in my life and and all four were on wfe tractors. Obviously everything else being equal a wide front is a little more stable. I will say a little because a wf will tip to a pretty good angle before hitting the front pivot stop, and it will still overturn if it is tilted beyond its stability limit. But it still comes down to adequate ballast, staying off slopes too steep for the tractor, and knowing and paying attention to conditions such as chuck holes rocks roots etc. So it really comes down to the operator driving the tractor that he is ON correctly.
