My opinion: The van driver no doubt or his heirs if he is deceased,will I"m sure be looking for compensation for injuries and/or loss due to no fault death and/or property damages.The Amish however will have a forgiving out look on the accident and will not pursue recovery. If they would testify in court it would have to be under the demands to appear section of the civil court of the local juridiction.Regrettably the tractor operator and the tractor owners are in for a shock when a notice of civil suit is served upon them.My hope is that they are insured enough to cover the horrrible situation this accident has created. The car operator if he is insured at all will have legal representation up to the policies limits.I know nothing of the circumstances and am just offering my opinion for what it is worth which is not much.
