The stub guards are similar but shorter, the aftermarket ones are made in china and just soft junk! Hesston wants $31.50 a set for them and there is 19 to a set. Maybe I'm getting too tight in my old age. I usually get four years out of a set and a new sickle and that last year it's just tearing it off. Tried just a new sickle but it doesen't cut good without replacing the guards also. Price has doubled in the past four years and the parts are almost unusable the quality is so poor.
