I"ve been running a 40 to 60% mix of E85 and gas in a 2000 non-flex fuel Ranger with 4.0L. I run synthetic anyway and, for a time the price point was useable. I put in a stronger mix the other day and got a Check Engine light later on, for the first time I might add. I have my own scanner and it was a "lean bank" problem. I put some more gas in and it hasn"t come back. Short story, run a little gas with the E85 and it should be okay. Once/if I start having problems I will re-evaluate my E85 useage. If the price of E85 stays stable(~$3.19)AND gas hangs around $3.50 then I"m not saving much $$$$.
