That dosent bother me as much as the 30% price increases and the smaller containers Ive seen on the shelves.Coffee prices are going up fast. The 12 oz pound is everywhere.Butter has moved up 30%.Wife saw sweet corn at 6 bucks a dozen at a farmers market.Summer squash selling at 2.00 a pound. This makes a small squash cost 2 bucks.Weve sold them for 50 cents each on our roadside table.Potatoes at 1.29 a pound.Cider vinegar 2.59 a gallon in one store,3.79 in another. We made a trip to get some truck parts and pick a few basic groceries. The groceries didnt cover the bottom of the cart.44 bucks.Empty shelves just mean people are buying seasonal supplies like canning items. Its strange that you can buy pork and chicken for less than vegetables now.
