We've had a cool wave (it's only 100) so I thought I would put the Horn-draulic loader on the Farmall M. I got it when I got the tractor but have no idea when it was last on or used.
It went on OK but one of the cylinders is stuck. They were both about half extended and that one will not extend or retract (gravity). The other works just fine (there is one hydraulic line with a T in it at the bottom of the stuck cylinder). I pulled the vent plug and there was a bit of air whoosh out, but that was it. I tried beating on it, working the loader up and down with the other cylinder, etc. I'm sure it will have to be rebuilt, but how do I get it unstuck to see?
Can I put some penetrant of some kind down the vent hole? Do I take it off and pull it apart with the tractors?
The ram is in the cylinder straight, it isn't bent, and it looks really good through the vent plug hole.
