Good reading, indeed. I first read it about 25 years ago.
A minor point: Classical Athens of 2500 years ago was not a Republic but, rather, a direct Democracy whereas, the US was created to be a representative republic. That said, the rationale above applies to both.
Nearly all of the problems inherent in our governmental system could be solved by term limits but we will never see the day.
Though our founding fathers were very wise, they failed to anticipate the emergence of career politicians. Had they done so, they would certainly have written term limits into the US Constitution.
