We've had a really wet summer, my first cut hay wasn't done yet. So when the weatherman called for 4 days of sun I let the fields dry a bit on day one, mowed a whack of hay day 2 (leaving big ruts in a lot of areas despite my floater tires on the tractor). Check the weather, great, another sunny day has been added to the forecast!
This am on day 3, I check the forecast. My day 4 and 5 are gone now replaced with rain, and today has 60% rain and thunderstorms predicted. Its 9 am and the fog hasn't lifted, I'll be lucky to get a few hours sun. The entire next week is predicted to rain as usual now too.
If these maritime summers keep going this way, I'm going to have to start teaching horse clients to use balage. I think it has rained something like 60 days out of the last 90, and only four 2 day periods of sun?
