Personally I am not a hunter, but this is a suggestion I would make.
Next time you go for a eye exam tell the Optometrist/Opthamaligist your situation. Then ask him for a prescription for "Hunting" glasses. This should get you a set that has the right correction for the range you are looking at.
I know people who have had this sort of thing done. Most common is reading glasses of course. When in college I knew a old JD parts man who had trifocals made with the same correction top and bottom and the other in the middle. Made it easier for him to read part no.s on the higher shelves.
