I don't know if it applies in your case or not but people often write what they think they have heard something called all of their lives.

An example would be a recent Craig's List ad for free wood for BOMB fires. They probably thought all of their lives the correct word was bomb rather than bon.

I've learned things in my adulthood (and still am)that I had been in error of and it is no big deal. Just wanted to make sure the person had a successful search for the right product is all because it is a brand name.
