It took 10 years for the cabin air filter to plug up on my '01 Chevy truck, but then the truck has only 58,000 miles. I didn't even know the truck HAD such a thing until the A/C quit blowing. I'd never even heard of such a thing, and for sure the older vehicles never had such a thing, so I pulled that thing out and tossed it. The A/C works MUCH better now than it ever did, and I bought the truck brand new.
