Your post brings back a memory for me. We were putting tobacco in the barn when I was a kid (in Kentucky), when a family from Iowa pulled in the driveway and asked my dad what we were doing. Dad never met a stranger, and they had a good, long conversation. My mom traded addresses with the Iowa mom, and they wrote back and forth a time or two. Dad gave them a couple stalks of fresh-cut burley and they put it in the trunk and went on their merry way. That was late '60's or early '70's. Ironically, I now live in Iowa, where the locals occasionally ask me about raising tobacco. Thanks for the memory. Good Luck and God Bless
