Nancy , All,, Forestry Service got in a Huge Honkin DC707 air tanker Wed, But as of this AM They didn't have a pilot to fly it in fire fighting application, + it wasn't totally rigged out to fight fire yet! maybe later today. The fire has been at 30% containment for the last 1.5 days!!! There may be some folks who haven,t lost homes. Yesterday, a homeowner sneaked in to see his home, was caught by officials moving a high voltage electric line with his bare hands, Thank the lord that line was OFF! Today's Featured Article - Third Brush Generators - by Chris Pratt. While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity".
