mosinee dave, I have an old, old 407 JD shredder It was built around 1960. Call your local Deere Dealer! I can still get a new "input shaft" for it. I will bet a Big Red sodawater that Deere can still get parts for Yours. Just be ready to turn loose of $$$$ for that shaft. The 407 shredder I have has the same boxes as the old 707 Gyromower solid deck stalk cutter series. The input shaft is $450 for mine,,,,"OUCH" Later, John A.
