I'm not sure if it was a Fordson engine as Fordsons were built by Perkins. I have heard about those skidder engines before - fellow in my hometown knew I was a Ford Man and asked me. I believe they used a Ford 6 cyl diesel. Non structrual engine - was used in some of the smaller Ford and maybe Claas combines. Regular member here FordFarmer knows a little about them. Maybe he'll weigh in and get you steered in the right direction.
