60#, IIRC, is just about right for a Ranger... I agree tho... you could open the schrader valve and see if there's gas or water there.... or more importantly... flow. It is possible to have static pressure with the key turned 'on' and then when the engine is cranked and the injectors pulse... the fuel is used up/pressure drops because there is not enough flow there to maintain the pressure... either because of a blocked filter or bad pump... and more likely because of a blocked filter.
