Sneaky way to get that problem tested/taken care of: run a wire with a one way diode from starter solenoid to coil, when starter is used the full voltage circuit goes through test wire and will quick start. This indicates that starting circuit was open- either switch, relay or bypass wire/resister open. Some people just wire this 'test' wire in direct and forget about replacing switch's, etc. Diodes are about a $1.00, switch's can be a $99.00 item. Diode is needed to prevent feedback from coil to starter after engine starts. Jeep ignition with the motorcraft box- ran into trouble with them when worked for Jeep dealer, was a repair kit for plugin that had new plugins and silicone grease pack. RN
