As far as BRANDS of equipment goes, the brand with closest dealer and a well stocked parts dept is the one i go with myself.doesnt do much good in my opinion to buy something you cant keep in the feild, or have to drive a hundred miles to get parts for.most of the major manufacturers build good equipment anymore.though there are some particular models that cause problems more than others.my self if i were in your shoes i would look at the equipment the dealer sells that you pass every day.in the long run that will save a lot of problems. wheather its agco,jd, new holland, doesnt mean a whole lot to me if i can get parts when needed.we run nearly all ford anymore simply because they are the best dealer.used to be jd but the old dealer who was the best i ever saw got sick and sold out ,and since then the new dealer has run the place in the ground.doesnt even seem to be interested in selling parts anymore,he simply wants to sell new equipment .
