Well, my dad used to have a 2010 that he liked quite a bit, but sold when I was little to help pay the bills because he was not farming, but I think most of my affection for Deere green came when I was 18 and moved away from home and went to work for a large hay farmer (for up here at least) who is quite fond of John Deere. Running his 4020, 4240, and 4450 was where I really learned what I liked, and is why I now have a 430, 4010, and 4020. He never did let anybody run his G, but I still want one. He had other makes as well, a couple of newer cases, a `60s Massey, a ford versatile 9030, and a New Holland, and the pride of the fleet, a Steiger for tillage. Gotta say I am a little bit like him in that I like all tractors, and will own other brands over the years, but I just have a fondness for the New Generation and older deeres.
