I was out of town last week when it happened, but a minivan headed eastbound on the interstate a baseballs throw from my place hit a deer and stopped on the interstate as I understand it. It then got rear ended by a truck and seven out of ten people in the minivan were killed. I also understand that they were on their way to a family funeral in NY of all things. Talk about bad luck.
Maybe a set of deer whistles would have prevented it. But then again, once a deer gets between the fences and lanes on an interstate, no good can come of that. I take state roads and not insterstates whenever possible.
