It will vary w/ conditions,plow , coulter size, etc. I find that the coulter needs to be 1"=2" OUTSIDE the landslide, bottom of coulter cutting to about 2"-3" above the bottom of the furrow and the center of the hub ahead of the point by 1 or 2 inches. Whether those settings will work for you I don"t know. Bean straw is usually pretty forgiving, unlike corn stalks. Are your bottoms scoured?? If they are rusty you will have problems until they are shined up, particularly if the soil is a bit sticky!
