I wouldn't use anything that wasn't vented because you will probably have to open up a window sooner or later anyway to get rid of the fumes. Not to hijack your post but I am looking at heaters too, I have the chance to get a burner setup off of an old fuel oil burner. The plenum on this furnace was cracked and thrown away. Do you think I could just blow this in an 8" pipe, such as an old auger. In my mind it woud work like radiant heating in that the other end of the pipe would just run outside after 30 feet or more.
