farmall H tractor (1952) rebuilt leaking carb, put back onto tractor, fresh battery, started right up, ran/warm-up, took out to inflate tires, left running, sounding good, went to take off with her in 1st gear, let the clutch out slowly with a little throttle, and the engine wanted to die out, tried this several times and in different gears...always wanted to die, messed around with carb needles/adjustments and then finally killed the engine and could not get started.
The tractor had sat for 1.5 years. Would the gas which was fresh back 1.5 years be a problem? I was very observant with the carb when I removed it and especially with the Gov. butterfly assembly....The tractor ran well prior to the rebuild of the carb, it would just get flooded so after you ran for awhile and shut off, you"d have to drain the carb/breather hose of gasoline and let sit before starting.
Did not mess around with any other aspects of the tractor....I"m thinking something with Gov. but not sure where to begin. Any suggestions?
