Tim, I've got a good one too. We're both 62. Been married 44 years. At our age, it's hard to figure out what to get them, that would be useful, but not in the weedeater catagory. Years ago, leading up to her birthday, I'd ask her what she wanted. She always said - whatever. So I'd tell her I was gonna get her one of those pink flamingos that you used to see in the fifties, stuck in peoples yards. That put her in motion. She'd do some thinking and come up with something that she'd really like to have, and I'd get it for her. It's a ritual now - I tell her the flamingo story every year, but at least she gets something that she really wants. I also always take her out to the Outback Restaurant for a nice meal, and follow her around the mall while she picks out something kinda frivolous. It's impossible to shower too much attention on a woman. I tell everyone that it's her birthweek, instead of birthday.
Good luck choosing the right gift and Happy Birthday to your wife!
