An old guy in my town had a nice BO Lindeman locked up in his barn for many years. I worked on it a few times. When he died his kids were handling the remains of the estate. Many collectors contacted the kids and made offers up to $5000 for the crawler. Well? The kids refused to sell privately and stuck it in a general auction nearby in Oneonta. NOT a tractor auction like MacFaddens. A Baptist preacher friend of mine in town, who had no money, went to the auction and bought it for $500. Pretty good deal! He then went home(without paying anything yet) and stuck it on Ebay. 8 hours later he had it sold for $3500. He got a $1000 deposit, and took $500 out of it and went down and paid for the crawler. I guess the preacher is a better business-man then I am. I did not even go to that auction since I figured the crawler was going to sell high. The kids did not even contact all the people who had made offers to tell them about the upcoming public sale.
