I lost my Mother, a WWII veteran in May of 2009. She served as a nurse in McArthur's army in New Guinea and the Philippines. She met my Father in Leyte Gulf in early 1945.
It is sad to see the WWII veterans passing in such numbers. Time waits for no one.
