I looked at a Kubota diesel tractor Saturday. Owner stated he had owned the tractor for about FOUR YEARS and it had a new paint job when he bought it.
It ran ok and seemed to be in good shape. I asked what kind of oil he used and he stated Chevron diesel oil. He also stated it had been a while since it had been changed and needed it. He then stated it would use a small amount and he would just add.
To my dissatisfaction, I looked under the tractor and noticed that NO paint was broken on the oil drain plug!!
Although I questioned him, he stated he had changed the oil.
I left because I know of no way to drain the oil without , at least, leaving wrench marks on the drain plug????
Oh yes, the filter had been painted along with the rest of the tractor.
Maybe my title should have been Thangs People Do---OR Don't Do !!!
