I was talking to an old guy down south of Dunlap one time. He was telling me that he rememebered when there was only one traffic light in town. I told him, heck,up where I'm from in Michigan, the town is so small that we don't even have a light. Told him the DOT sent a letter to the Village Council one time tellin them they had to put a flasher out there on the corner of main street and the county road,so they sent two guys out to take turns standing there in a rain coat. He thought for about half a second and about fell right off his Ranger. We were going through Glasgow Ky one time too. Stopped in to Ben and Elmer Tractor Company because I saw that they sold Hesston and I needed a small part for my haybine. I just happend to be wearing my Oliver hat. An old guy came out of the office and saw it. Told me they used to be an Oliver dealer. We must have been there close to an hour listening to stories about going to Oliver Service School, folks moving there from somewhere else, just discussing the state of the union in general. Super nice bunch of folks down there for sure. If you don't feel at home there and never want to leave, there's something seriously wrong.
