You only want to use Motorcraft or Autolight copper plugs - for some reason the platnum plugs cause issues.
The torque spec is VERY IMPORTANT on that year of 5.4 engine. Its an aluminum head with only 4 threads on the splug, its extremely easy to strip the threads by over torque (only 12 to 14 ft. pounds torque).
Its also not uncommon to strip the threads out of the head when you loosen them - the aluminum galls to the spark plug and just rips the out. So make sure you can get the wrench on square.
