Personally, I do not get offened either way. I understand that people try to be inclusive and non-offensive when they do, and seem to offend others by trying to be non-offensive.
Today on the interstate I passed a business that put up a huge lit "Merry Christmas" along with a huge lit nativity scene on the outside of THEIR corporate office. I mean HUGE, HUGE, HUGE and both lit bigger and brighter than anything. I picked up the cell phone, called Information, got their number and called them to say Thanks. To me, that looked really nice, and was their choice. The receptionist thanked me, wished me a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and said she would pass it on. I wished her and them the exact same, and we hung up and I kept driving.
I have my preference, and so do others. I won't die either way. So long as they mean well, I won't sweat it.
