My take on a good part of the problem is that we in many cases elect some idiot who can't make a living doing anthing else to office at a local level, and then reelect rhem to a higher office later on the grounds they are now an experianced idiot. From here they go to the house or senate because they are a very experianced idiot. Then they run against other idiots to give us a choice to see which idiot we'd rather have in office. Most of these idiots have become lawyers, which are bigger idiots than most. So, when elections come, we can vote for the biggest idiot to become the Commander-in-Chief Idiot.
No wonder we're in trouble. Our country is being led by a bunch of idiots!
