Right! Scribe mark a cross(+) where you want the hole, prick punch a nice dimple and then drill a small pilot hole about 1/4 the diameter of the finished hole you want, then drill the hole to size on a drill press securing the workpiece (the drawbar) so it can't turn if the drill hangs up. Use a good sharp high quality drill (no job for cheap chink junk), go slowly feeding the drill into the workpiece and keep the drill lubed with a good quality cutting oil or speciality metal cutting compound. Go real easy when you feel the drill nearing the bottom of the hole. After drilling hand chamfer the edges of the hole with a hole scraper or the cutting edge of a bigger drill to eliminate any sharp flashing or tangs.
