Dave what makes you think he is going downhill? I have a very good friend, retired Army who is from WV. I talk to him almost daily. He's in his late 40's. He is disgusted at all the folks that are on "assistance" and see nothing wrong with it and are not trying to get off of assistance! Heck I'm 56 and he has told me that I could pick up on good looking 21 yo females in WV simply by flashing my retired ID and VA card in a bar. Plus if he has not been in the States for a while he may be shocked at the changes.
