I work in a farm equipment dealership. What is driving up the cost of used equipment is the high cost of the new. The main things driving up the prices on new are the cost of the steel (which is being driven up by the Chinese buying our scrap), and the new emissions garbage that is required (brought to you by non-elected bureaucrats in D.C.).
