i've found gojo and similar hand cleaners hasten it. My hands crack real bad in the winter, especially when working on tractors and cleaning the hands often.
I try to wear more disposable gloves and use a (whisper) hand soap with moisturizer in it.
I got a 1g jug at lowes in the contractor section.. ig pump hand soap with moisturizer. works real good on grease.. but not as agressive as gojo. If I have thick greasy oily hands.. i grab a handfull of sand and then a pump of soap and let the grit work, then rinse.
