OK, got uo to look at FIL's mower today. He was having trouble with it dying when he engaged the PTO. Well, I got on and started it up, starts fine and runs fine. Went to let off the brake and it died. Started it back up again, keep the brake on and tried to turn on blower, it died again. So I disengaged the transmission, started it, let off the brake and it stayed running, engaged the PTO for the blower and it stayed running. Then I reengaged the transmission, started it, let off the brake and it stayed running, engaged the PTO it kept running. Moved the mower forward, no problem. Went to step on the reverse pedal and it won't budge. Its like the pedal is froze somewhere or something, any ideas on what to check?
