I had that happen one time and used a heat gun to gently force dry it and it worked fine, sanded it and painted it. Then when the weather changed the stuff started lifting off so I had to chisel off the effected area and redo it. It was bondo brand resin and perhaps another brand would work different but I would recommend taking it off now.
