if it runs ok after a short warm up then the glow plug module may not be working. if it doesnt run good ever then it could be the fuel injector control module(ficm). they can be sent off for repair and reflash .or could be injectors usually injector problems are related to low fuel pressure or fuel quality. this engine doesnt have a conventional injection pump. usually high pressure oil pump problems show up on hot engines that cut off or wont restart
