It's illegal for any company to void a warranty for not using any one specific brand of filter. The guys as NAPA should know that as it's printed in the back of their filter catalogs. Of course I guess the majority of parts guys don't know anything about it since the majority of them don't know anything about anything but what's on the a computer screen in front of them. Like I said in the beginning, in regard to filters it basically makes it illegal for a company to void a warranty on their product for not using an OEM filter, and for using any other brand.
