filters are a your get what you pay for item, a cheap filter is just exactly that, a cheap filter, it may provide the bare minimum of protection required by manyfactures, but thats it, if your driving a car and intend to trade cars every 2 or 3 years, it will get you to that point,if the engine is in something you plan on keeping for a long time or is subject to heavy use, towing, city stop and go driving ect, you need to invest a couple of bucks more in a quality filter, both napa and carquest premium filters are made by wix, and it doesnt get better than that for a filter, wix filters come from the factory on most major brands of heavy equipment, if ther techknowlegly is good enough to protect the engine and hydraulics on a dozer that costs over 1/2 million dollars, it is good enough for your car too
