Every suggestion made has been right on. But if it still acts up after you've gotten everything up to specs you might just have to run it with the back of the hood raised a little. I went through every nit pickin thing I could touch on my heater several times but I couldn't get it to run right with the hood on. I finally made a couple of straps to hold the back of the hood up an inch or so and it's performed flawlessly ever since. I got the idea to do that after posting my problem on this site. Jim
