Every little burg around here, local towns of 850 populations, one 2400, all have a new high school costing millions, and the one where my mail comes in, and from which I am Advalorem taxed is now redoing (brane new bricks and mortar) the elementary AND Jr. Hi......(Middle school in today's terms) after a couple of years ago passing the bond to finance the new high school.
You can't fight it because the moms are eat up with the motherhood syndrome which they can't control and will fight you to the death over their kids getting the best of everything, regardless of the cost and who is going to have to do without what to pay for it. It is an endless process and you can't win.
My question is, what good is it doing? Around here they have tests that are mandated that either the state or the fed dictates and you have to pass the tests to pass the grade....so guess what.....human nature dictates that to get students to pass you teach the test. Well what ever happened to the quality of education and the individuality of the teacher and all the things that you and I experienced coming up and made us what we are today.
