They're doing that here in Michigan. 4 or 5 yr maximum for welfare. Of course there was a lawsuit by the libs and the court said the "state didn't give proper notice". Something about poor wording on the notices they sent out. So, they redid the notices and sent them out and NOW they can cut them off. Everyone's wailing about how it's hurting kids.
What really ticks me off is that in Detroit, ALL kids get a free lunch now because they said it was "humiliating" for kids that got them to be looked upon as different. So, a kid whose mom/dad works on the line at an auto plant with great benefits, pension and probably makes over $25/hr now gets a free lunch to boot.
