I went up to my land in central Minnesota today to do a couple of things there. When I go there I pass by Lake Mille Lacs on the way. It's the 4th or 5th largest lake in MN - about 200 square miles. On the way back home this afternoon I stopped and snapped a couple of photos of the fish houses out there. They are about 1/4 mile out. Generally there are a couple of thousand fishouses on the lake on any given year. Some of them are pretty nice inside. Just like a deluxe travel trailer with all the comforts needed to spend a weekend in. We're having an odd winter here this year. No snow to speak of and warm. My cousin today said there is only about 18" of ice on the lakes so far this year. In a normal winter we get twice that amount. That one vehicle that is closest is a late model 4 door F350. I know you guys from the cold country see this stuff every day. But I thought the guys from Texas, Florida, etc would enjoy seeing that life does not stop just because it's winter here.
