Late 98 up to 03 's had injector pump problems. I got 95,000 out of mine. They like to blame it on the lift pump not putting out enough pressure but mine has always read high enough. Also said that the electronics on the pump go bad. That's what went wrong with mine. $1100 exchange for a remanufactured one. Last road trip I got to within a mile of home and it went to high idle at a stop sign. Continued on but before I got home it went in limp mode-just idle speed. Throttle sensor went out. $149 for a new one. Otherwise I like my 02. Front end seems tight yet but I mostly use it on long road trips. No problem with tranny or clutch and I always have a trailer on behind. Put front brakes in at 90,000. My son had one with over 400,000 on it and another with 250,000 and still running. Running empty with the trailer I get 17-18 mpg. Loaded it drops to 12-14.
